Arabian Horse Association of New Mexico

AHANM Halter Futurity

The AHANM Purebred and Half-Arabian Halter Futurity is a program for AHR and IAHA-registered horses bred and owned by MEMBERS of the Arabian Horse Association of New Mexico and nominated in the year prior to foaling (in utero).  The AHANM Halter Futurity is a progressive program, with horses being re-nominated annually through their three-year-old year.  Nominated horses are eligible to show as yearlings, two-year-olds, and three-year-olds, but need not show each year to maintain eligibility.  The Futurity Purse is awarded to the winners of the three-year-old classes at a Class A show approved by AHANM and held in Albuquerque.  In 2011, that show will be the Zia Classic.
